Abstract
Background This study is motivated by the low financial performance of Islamic banking in Indonesia despite the large number of Muslim consumers, as well as the lack of integration of religious motivation in the sustainability intention model. Therefore, this study uses the concept of religiosity motivation in consumer behavior and the ideal of Muslim self-congruity as a novelty and originality.

Objective This study aims to develop an integrated conceptual framework that explains Islamic banking sustainability intentions by mediating customer satisfaction, subjective well-being, and ideal Muslim self-congruity, and distinguishing single and dual consumer segments.

Method This study uses a literature review methodology for peer-reviewed journal articles from the Scopus databases and etc for the period 2007-2024, with the keywords religiosity motivation, ideal Muslim self-congruity, subjective well-being, and Islamic banking.

Findings Conceptually, it was found that religiosity motivation influences continuance intention through three parallel mediation pathways. Consumer status differentiates the strength of these relationships. The construct of ideal Muslim self-congruity represents a novel contribution.

Conclusion The proposed framework addresses the inconsistencies in previous research on the motivation, continuation intention relationship. Future empirical research is needed to test this model, particularly the development of an ideal Muslim self- congruity scale and cross-segment differences.
