The IJMS (Interdisciplinary Journal of Management Studies) is a peer-reviewed open access journal published by the University of Tehran, Iran since the year 2007. The journal publishes scientific papers reporting original research and/or applications in the field of Management Sciences.

Today's businesses are looking to cut costs, save time and become more competitive. Big data is both a tool and a business model, allowing companies to achieve this by providing real-time data insights that can help decision-making. Implementing Big Data for Sustainable Business Management focuses on applying big data analytics in sustainable business management. In recent years, increasing interest has been shown in Big Data research and its applications in different fields. Due to this, Big Data analytics can be applied to an extensive range of areas, including business management, health care, and law enforcement. The recent trend shaping the future of Big Data is combining it with other disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence and sustainability. Big data could be a significant factor in achieving sustainable business management, as it enables companies to understand and exert control over their organizational structure, business processes, and decision-making. In addition, big data can also help businesses define operational strategies such as launching new products and services. At the same time, they can even learn more about their consumers' demands through analyzing customer behavior and developing effective advertising strategies. Ultimately, big data could significantly contribute to the success of a business by creating efficient networks where employees collaborate in performing their daily tasks and promote innovation at workplaces.   The use of big data allows us to understand better the material issues that can negatively impact our business. This enables us to take appropriate steps to prevent possible noncompliance with environmental and related legislation. Big data technologies and systems can provide enormous business values in sustainable management, thus offering promising opportunities for modern businesses and enterprises. However, several challenges are identified across organizational, technological, and people dimensions, such as lack of awareness, business cases and targeted investments, poor technology choices due to the immaturity of the software industry, lack of Big Data skills.  Submissions are welcome for articles that examine scientific advice from various academic perspectives, including science and technology studies. Insights from practitioners and case studies are also welcome. Topics of interest include, which are not limited to:
